Food Cravings & Acupuncture

An Asheville Chiropractor on: Food Cravings & Acupuncture

In this series I discuss acupuncture and how it relates to back pain, migraines and even weight loss.

Acupuncture and Food Cravings

As an Asheville Chiropractor, I talk to a lot of patients who are struggling with weight loss and food cravings – we all just love our food around here! Every once in a while, a patient will ask me about Acupuncture and weight loss.

Acupuncture can help with cravings for specific foods, but weight loss as a whole is a very multifaceted issue requiring more than acupuncture alone. Let’s say you are trying to overcome the urge to eat chocolate, salty foods, ice cream etc.

Acupuncture Curbs Cravings for Doughnuts

Some patients, after they receive acupuncture, find that these foods are not as satisfying, but if a person keeps eating ice cream every day, the cravings will eventually return to where they were.
