Eating Organic in Asheville

Ok.  You want to go out to eat with your family, but you are concerned about the types of food that you put into your body.  At home, you have control over what you eat, the origins of your food, the types of chemicals and pesticides that are or are not sprayed over your dinner.

Well, rest assured that there are organic options in Asheville as well.

Tupelo Honey CafeThe Tupelo Honey Café (http://www.tupelohoneycafe.com/) boasts new south flavors and scratch-made fun.  Tupelo supports more than 25 farms and artisanal food purveyors, bringing you fresh, local, imaginative cuisine.  You can even pick up a cookbook!

Plant is a newer hotspot, and is Asheville’s only completely vegetarian restaurant (http://plantisfood.com/).  Additionally, Plant makes every effort to do business with local vendors and to offer organic, local, and seasonal produce whenever possible.

Don’t forget breakfast!  At the West End Bakery you can treat yourself to breakfast, lunch, or weekend brunch made from scratch.  They use fresh and healthy ingredients including 100% organic flour and sugar.  They also use locally grown and organic foods whenever possible.  http://www.exploreasheville.com/listings/West-End-Bakery/365/default/
